Long-time Steamboat Springs restaurant, Cantina, closed its doors and Vertical Arts (VA) was called to help transform it from a dated Mexican restaurant into Steamboat’s modern Latin tapas bar, Bésame. The goal was to completely transform the space while still keeping most of the original bones intact as the remodel had to take place in the tight span of eight weeks. VA helped the head chef to create a vision and color palette for the new space. Our team worked to incorporate modern light fixtures, select and purchase new furniture, as well as select new architectural features like a new bar top and railing look. Additionally, VA helped design and brand the restaurant’s new look. A new modern logo was created with homage to the client’s favorite Latin artist. The logo is featured on two new outdoor signs that pull in a rustic appeal to the façade. VA also designed unique menus that lend a fresh modern look that pairs well with the rustic authentic food. Be sure to stop in to Bésame for some delicious tapas during your next visit to Steamboat!
